    DESCRIPTION:
    VERY RARE WWII German death card for decorated Feldeinheit Obergefreiter KIA during an enemy air attack on the sea (Narvik-Throntheim). Probably died somewhere near the coast in Norway.
    Specifically:
    "Josef Spath, Obergefreiter in a Feldeinheit, holder of the K.V.K. with/swords, who died a hero's death during an enemy air attack on the Sea (Narvik-throntheim) on Nov. 27, 1944."
    Very clear PHOTO showing him in Army uniform.
    Card is in excellent condition.
    Original card over 75 years old, and a nice picture and story of a soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
