WWII Era British Royal Air Force RAF Type "C" Leather Flying Helmet - Very Nice Condition
Up for sale is a WWII Era British Royal Air Force RAF Type "C" Leather Flying Helmet.  The helmet has a leather exterior with a soft suede leather interior lining.  The exterior leather is soft and supple.  No cracking or crazing.  It still has the original leather chin strap and the four leather straps on the sides and one leather strap on the rear.  The the padded ear cups on the interior.  There are some repairs to the ear cups, see photos.  There are no markings or dates in the helmet.  Size is estimated at a Medium.  This is the early version of the Type "C" Helmet.  These helmets were used by both British and American Pilots & Aircrew during WWII.
