WWII - Dish Salvage BLITZ RUBBLE Stone Tray of Bombed Houses of Parliament 1941. WWII - Original Stone interesting piece of salvaged stone. It was salvaged from the Houses of Parliament during WWII when it was bombed in 1941. A large portion of the building and Big Ben was bombed. The effort to restore the damage, souvenirs like this were made and sold to assist with the rebuilding. It measures approx 1" deep x 5.5" in dia. It comes in good condition. Some surface ware and some slight marks to the outer surface and some slight scuff marks to the medallion. The outer surface has been all hand chiseled and has the handworked rough finish. The lead medallion set into the body showing the image of the Houses of Parliament and 'Big Ben' and the wording 'This Stone Came From The Houses of Parliament'.
