    Who served in The South African Provost Corps.
    1939/45 Star; Africa Star; War Medal; Africa Service Medal
    Carl Willem Hattingh was born on the 3rd of February 1905 and attested for service on 20th May 1940.  He was a rigger/steel worker at the time of attestation.  He was a very interesting character in that, from the attached research, he was demoted twice, and was an ‘illegal’ absentee 5 times. Discharged in November 1945.
    Including 3 pages of research.
