Ship's History:
HMS Forth A187 (Formerly F04) a Submarine Depot Ship, was launched in 1938 and received her commission in 1939 and served on both sides of the Atlantic in WW2
Renamed "HMS Defiance" in 1972
Decommissioned in 1979 and broken up for scrap in 1985
This Crest was acquired from the estate of a British-Canadian WW2 veteran.  He served as an engineer in both in the submariner force and the surface fleet during the war and post war in the Royal Canadian Navy up until the mid 1970's.
