VICTORIAN OVAL RUBY 2+ctw MINE DIAMOND HALO DROP 18K COCKTAIL EARRINGS c1880

Description

This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE PAIR of COCKTAIL EARRINGS that was made in the LATE VICTORIAN PERIOD around c1880.  They are HANDMADE from 18K ROSE GOLD.  The earrings are centrally set with 2 synthetic RED RUBIES that weigh approx. 2.15 carats each.  The rubies are faceted oval shapes of fine quality and color.
Synthetic rubies were typical for the period as natural rubies of this size would be prohibitively expensive, IF attainable at all.
The earrings are also set with 32 OLD MINE CUT DIAMONDS of I to M color with SI to I clarity that weigh approx. 2.25 carats!
The earrings measure 1-3/16” long by 1/2” at the widest point.  The total weight is 6.5 grams.  One of the posts is bent downward at the end, but it functions properly so I do not want to attempt to straighten it.  These have been my personal earrings for the past 18 years and I have enjoyed wearing them.   PERFECT ITEM IF NATURAL RUBIES ARE NOT IN YOUR BUDGET...A UNIQUE PAIR of ORIGINAL ANTIQUE EARRINGS!  I have a larger similar pair with all white diamonds available, please inquire.

The buyer has the right to a refund should the item not be suitable.  The item must be promptly returned in it's original condition without damage, alteration, repair or signs of wear when examined under a 10x jewelers loupe.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping fees unless we have mistakenly misrepresented the item.
