    Description

    This listing features a very rare, old-time, high contrast specimen slab of Black Dendritic Pink Rhodonite originating from Wildrose Canyon within Death Valley National Park in Southern California! The Rhodonite displays fantastic black chatoyant manganese dendrites producing high contrast against pink Rhodonite and some yellow mineralization! This material was mined in 1962 and can never be dug again as the deposit lies within the National Park's borders. The rare Rhodonite specimen weighs 11.7 ounces and measures 171mm by 130mm by 5.5mm. All photographs taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final two photographs which show both sides of the rare Rhodonite slab while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
