    Description

Presented is a vintage Spode large coffee pot in their elegant Trade Winds pattern first introduced in 1960.  The shape is Lowestoft, which mimics 18th century Chinese Export Trade porcelain. It is in their harder to find black with gold trim colorway.  On one side of the pot is featured the White Diamond Line packet the Anglo American, designed and built by the esteemed naval architect and shipbuilder Donald Mackay in 1847 in East Boston, Massachusetts.  The backside shows a rendering of the H.E.I.C. (Honourable East India Company) Thomas Coutts tall ship, a brig built in 1820.
Spode Trade Winds Black was discontinued in 1985.
The condition of this coffee pot and lid is pristine.  No wear at all to the decoration and gold trim.  There are no chips, cracks, crazing, stains, losses or repairs present on this piece.
The height of the coffee pot is 7-3/4".  The factory trademark is green.
