**NOTE on SIZING: Official Maker's Published frame size most likely 26 in., probably a measure of of main frame's Seat Tube (ST) from center of Bottom Bracket(COBB) to the top of the seat post (TOSP)!! The 24 advertised measure here is my Best estimate of the measurement of ST from COBB to Center of the Top Tube, instead of TOSP.

This is a very well made Bicycle has only had one owner He bought it new in 1978- until 2019!
I would call this about a 60 cm frame size ( mesaurement C-C of seat tube)

While this has been used  respectfully and bear gentle wear marks, it was loved and appreciated properly.
Has been in sitting in climate controlled storage for many years now. Can be cleaned it before mailing, can even go through a 3 to 4 hour rebuild as new owner's wish ! !
A MAJOR change in this bike is the wheelset. The original wheelset was discarded in the 1980s and replaced by a custom made wheelset( in Lansing, MI) you see in the pictures!  They suit the bike well and actually improve the bicycle I would say. Both Rims are USA made aluminum, with phil wood hubs. the rear has 48 spokes, and front thas 36 spokes( all stainless steel).  They are still the classic standard of 27" pictured with 27 x 1-3/8 old tires here.
I rebuild bikes a lot and the only clear misgiving of the bike is the bottom bracket needs adjustment.
This MAY mean there is enough wear to justify changing spindle/cups, but may also mean just the balls/grease can be changed to rebuild it!!   I did not sense any grinding nor excessive play, so it SEEMS healthy, but i would open it up anyways. ( at your request)

Optimizing adjustments can be made, will let you have the honors .All functions otherwise do work well.
Any Requirements, please call i can run any tests. I rebuild older bicycles , have rebuilt several thousand Schwinns of this era.  I can total rebuild optionally, changing all grease and high grade balls possible.
