Schofield BALTIMORE ROSE CANDLESTICK HOLDERS - Sterling Silver - Ornate - Rare

These are two antique candlestick holders in the Baltimore Rose pattern by Schofield Co. (Exact age is unknown). They are rare and exquisite sterling silver candlestick holders. Baltimore Rose is an ornate pattern, and as photos demonstrate, large pieces in this pattern are especially stunning. These candlesticks are sure to impress an eclectic audience. The patina contributes to the ornate rose pattern.
These antique pieces show wear secondary to age/use/and storage as silver is a soft metal. I took several close-up photos to show wear. One candlestick holder measures slightly taller than the other one. Without the bobeches in the candlestick holders, one measures approximately 9 15/16 (wobbly) inches tall and the other measures approximately 9 7/8 inches tall. In photos, you can see that one candlesticks is bent/was dinged at the top (photo #4 & #3). The bobeche still fits into the candlestick holder as seen in photo #3, and fits a bit more snug than its counterpart candlestick holder). Photos #5 and #6 show small indentations into the sterling near the base, and in the flowering in #7. One candlestick has a ding at the base as seen in photo #8, #9, & #10, which shows the ding from the top and the bottom of the candlestick. This candlestick with the dent in the bottom still sits flat, but could be rocked back and forth slightly as the ding is near the base. The other candlestick has small indentations on the base as seen in photo #11. Photo #12 shows a monogram on the bases of each candlestick. These candlestick holders will have some light tarnish for the buyer to remove to his or her liking.
The bases are weighted as with other candlestick holders.
The bobeches are included with these candlestick holders. I'm not certain of the composition of the bobeches, but they have some tarnish. The bobeches measure roughly 1 1/8 inches tall each.
Candlestick holders in the Baltimore Rose pattern are not easy to find, and this pair is sure to impress.

Do not purchase this item if you are unable to pick-it-up at the local Post Office or Fed Ex if the attempted delivery fails. Be mindful that the Post Office, Fed Ex, and UPS have limitations on how long they will hold the package for you. This delivery restriction is to ensure that only the buyer receives the item.
