: No pretreatment needed but 30-60 days cold, moist stratification will produce better and more uniform germination.
A great native plant for shady locations where its early spring, bright, yellow flower clusters sparkle, especially when touched by a ray of sunlight. Native to stream banks and moist woods but can be grown in full sun and drier sites. Large plantings are especially spectacular.
After flowering cut back to basal leaves for an attractive groundcover. Also spreads by rhizomes so is a great plant for grouping such as filling in a tough, dry, shaded area under a tree—adds early spring color followed by an attractive groundcover. Easy to cut back if need be.
Note
: If you order more than one lot of one species of seeds, for example you place two orders of 100 seeds, or whatever variation is offered, we assume you want 200 seeds and your order will be sent in one seed packet.
