Old French 18k Gold Rose Cut Diamond & Black Enamel Pin

Presented is a lovely antique French 18K gold pin. The top of the circular pin has a row of 17 old rose cut diamonds at the center with a band of black enamel stripes on either side. The enamel is in superb condition as are the diamonds
The pin is marked on the side of the C clasp with what appears to be the French eagle had hallmark for 18 karat gold. The mark is hard to read. There might have been other hallmarks of the reverse but there have been some repairs which could have obscured or eliminated some hallmarks. We have tested the pin with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stones are well set. Only one diamond has a chip and this is really irrelevant since it is so small and the stones are rose cuts. There are no other chips or cracks. There are at least two repairs on the reverse or the side of the piece. These repairs were well done and are not visible from the front. The clasp is strong and fastens securely.
The pin measures 1 1/4inches in diameter.
The weight is 11.8 grams.
