Unpolished Rough Magnetite & Pyrite Meditation Healing Stone Slab
This natural lapidary rough rock stone slab is black Magnetite and gold Pyrite and it is  9 inches by 5.75 inches and  6 mm thick.
It weighs 1.10 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
Lovely gold Pyrite in a black Magnetite from the Chino Mine in New Mexico.
Magnetite is an iron oxide and a member of the spinal group.  Earth movement caused cracks to form in the Magnetite and the cracks were filled with Pyrite.
Named for Magnes, a Greek shepherd, who discovered the mineral on Mt, Ida. He noted that the nails of his shoe and the iron ferrule of his staff clung to a rock. Pyrite is known as Fool's Gold.
