Description
Up for sale is a Classic Land Shark bicycle with tons of upgrades. I have owned this bike for 23 Years !!!! I am also the original owner. I purchased the bike from Atlanta Cycling back in 1998. I have kept it in excellent condition ever since. I upgraded the original components, and put on a completely new set of Shimano Ultegra components. These new components are only about 2 years old, and they have not had much use. This bike has never been crashed in the entire time I owned it.If you have never heard of Land Shark, I recommend you research them on Google. The company was founded by John Slawta in Oregon in the 1980's, and it is still turning out custom bikes to this day. A new complete bike from this builder, using the same components I have on this bike, costs about ,000. Check out their website at landsharkbicycles dot com.
This bike is purple and black (see pics). I have gotten hundreds of compliments on this paint job.
The best thing about this bike is the Reynolds 853 tubing. It is by far the smoothest ride I have ever had. I have owned a number of carbon bikes, and this one is much smoother and softer over the bumps. It also is very responsive under foot.
The entire bike, including the Zipp Water Cage I put on the back, weighs about 19.5 pounds.
Here is the rundown on this bike:
Land Shark Frame
Shimano Ultegra front and rear derailleur
Shimano Ultegra Brakes
DT Swiss Wheels - very light and in perfect shape.
Specialized S-Works Tires
Flite Titanium Seat - this is the original seat that came with the bike - still very comfortable
ToSeek Carbon Handlebar
Some folks have asked about dimensions. The top tube length is 58 cm. The seat tube length is 60 cm from center of crank to top of tube ( where the seat post is inserted).
Also - please note my 100% positive rating on eBay. I have bought and sold many items on eBay, and I work very hard to ensure that everyone I deal with is treated with honesty and respect.
