John Johnson D-Day British 6th Airborne Division Oxford and Buckingham. Mr. Johnson was a paratrooper with the British 6th Airborne Division during the D-Day invasions. He was one of the first troops to land in France in gliders to capture two bridges near Caen before D-Day started. Later fought in the Battle of the Bulge and made another combat jump during Operation Varsity the biggest airborne drop in WWII.
