British WWII Air Ministry Heavy Bomber Chart-Map Board Adjustible Lamp c. 1941

Description

This original WWII British heavy bomber chart or map board light might have been off an Avro 683 Lancaster bomber.  It would have been designed for the Navigator's section of the airplane.  It has the Air Ministry mark and is in completely original condition.  I felt it was best not to try to clean up this piece and maybe leave that to the final buyer.  The switch on the lamp appears to still work and all the components are there.  It has a bakelite switch with all the pertinent serial numbers including the RAF Air Ministry mark.   The lamp dates to c.1941.
