Antique Vintage Metal and Leather Advertising Coin Purse - late 19th Century
The size of this coin purse is small - 2 1/2 inches across and only 2 inches tall when closed.  The metal part on the face a magnet will stick to - so I am thinking that the scrollwork part is tin.  A magnet does not stick to the edge or the clasp - I think that part is brass.  The clasp closes nice and tight.  The overall condition is very nice - the leather has no holes.  There is some minor staining on the upper edge on the outside, like a grease stain.  The stain is about 1/4 long and half that wide - please see the pictures.  The inside is very clean.

Compliments of W. C. LEBER THE JEWELER 305-7 NIC. AVE., SECOND FLOOR  -  When I did a search I found an article regarding the jeweler and it was dated 1893.  Very fun and interesting to find.  This is potentially a 125 year old little leather coin purse.
