Antique 19thC Victorian Cherub Sterling Silver Chatelaine ~ Unger BrothersUp for bids is this
Antique 19thC Victorian Cherub Sterling Silver Chatelaine. The top plaque of the chatelaine features a cherub angel with detailed scrolls and shell on top. The back has a pin clasp and is marked STERLIN 24. Hanging are on three chains is an Unger Brothers tool with the UB Unger Brothers maker's mark on the back, see photo # 4. The middle tool is a hinged lid needle case with an applied sterling silver needle and a small piece of thread through the eye of the needle, marked on back STERLING. The tool on the far right is a nicely embossed detailed needle case and is signed on the inside with the Unger Brothers makers mark, see photo # 10.
The length from the top of the chatelaine clip to the end of the longest chain with the chatelaine piece on it is 9" and the top piece with the cherub is 1 3/4" high x 2 1/4" wide and the total weight is 31.2 grams
Two (2) of the tools are Unger Brothers.
