    Description

The newly redesigned 2021 Pine Mountain is a purpose built bikepacking rig - and the first and only one without the -6,000 price tag. With a Rockshox 35 up front, and extremely supple steel in the rear, this is the smoothest riding, and most capable hardtail I have ever owned.
The frame on this bike is as new as it could be, no damage anywhere to be found. If you have never ridden steel, I'm serious when I say there is no looking back. It feels smoother and more supple than carbon or alloy, and the weight penalty is a non-issue for the true adventurers that want this bike. Plus, this comes with top specs like the new Shimano SLX 12 speed drivetrain, four piston front disc brakes with 180mm rotors, a factory Tranz-X dropper post, and Marin's unique bedroll bar that gives you a second tier to mount your lights, GPS, bell, feedbags, or any thing else under the sun. And with beautiful 2.6" gum-wall tires, you can go anywhere the sun shines too. These tires still have some nipples on the center tread, not just the shoulders. That is how low mileage we are talking.
This bike has less than 40 miles of trails under its belt. I purchased it this summer, new cost ,800 after tax, but I was just lucky to find one as they are now sold out for the year. Unfortunately, I have to sell it to fund some of my school needs.
It spent some time as my commuter for class and work, and does show light scuffing in the two places where it always appears first- the fork (almost 100% on the Rockshox stickers and not the fork body, see photo) and the rear derailleur, also photographed.
See last photo for example of professional packaging and shipping available for this bike.
