The Greek letter “A” or Alpha and the specific number of “20 Pearls” are often used to symbolically represent the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
This particular pin/ broach is made of 20 natural pearls mounted to a solid 14K yellow gold heat shaped frame that features a solid gold script letter “A” floating at its center. One could interpret it to mean “Love of Sorority, Love of Sisterhood.” But, to be clear, this pin was not crafted specifically for and is not exclusive to the organization.
