    Description

This is the best preserved Trek 720 tourer that I have encountered.  It's a quintessential "time capsule" bike with all original componentry in near perfect condition.  Original parts include:
21" frame (I measure the stand over at 30.75")
full Reynolds 531c frame and fork, Campy dropouts, investment cast fork crown and bottom bracket shell
27" Rigida alloy rims, Maillard Heliomatic hubs
    Sugino AT crankset
Huret Duopar front and rear derailleurs
    SunTour bar-end shifters
Cinelli bars (with original cloth bar tape in excellent condition!) and stem
    Stronglight headset
    DiaCompe GC960 cantilever brakes
SR SP 11 pedals with chromed Christophe toe clips
    Jim Blackburn rear rack
even the original plastic reflectors and "dork disk"  are in pristine condition
When I acquired the bike it had the original tires (and presumably the original tubes).  The 38-year-old Trek tires were in very good condition, but I replaced them with new Panaracer Paselas (27x 1.25) with new tubes (and new Velox rim tape).  I am happy to include the original tires with the bike if desired.
The other flaws / non-original parts that I am aware of:
The original DiaCompe hoods had deteriorated.  These have been replaced.
I acquired the bike with a gel saddle that was in very poor condition.  Given how little the bike appears to have been ridden, I suspect that this saddle may have been an "upgrade" at the time of purchase.  I have installed the spec'd Avocet Touring II saddle, but the only example I could find is in less than perfect condition (see photo).
There are some small scratches in the pain on the top tube (see photo), but I would rate the DuPont Imron paint as 9.5/10.
The Reynolds 531 decal on the seat tube is a bit scratched (see photo).
One side of the Blackburn rear rack shows some rubbing/scratching on the top rail.
This is a incredibly clean example of what many (myself included) consider to be the best production touring bike from the golden era of touring bikes.  The price includes meticulous packing (pipe foam on the frame, everything wrapped, etc.) in a bike box, and the shipping cost is an estimate for the continental US with BikeFlights.  I will refund the difference if the actual cost is lower.  Local pickup in West Michigan is also an option.
Please review the photos carefully and ask any questions you may have.  No returns.
